ABOUT THE ACADEMY

National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAAS) is a public coordinating center for agricultural science.
The Academy was established in 1932 as the Kazakh branch of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences named after V.I.Lenin.
After the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1991, the ll-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences named after V.I.Lenin department was reorganized into the Kazakh Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

comprehensive assistance to the innovative development of the agro-industrial complex of the country based on the implementation of relevant and promising scientific research, the introduction of the results of scientific and technical activities into the country's economy, the commercialization of the results of scientific and technical activities, the professional consolidation of scientists of Kazakhstan

predictive assessment of the development of science and technology, participation in determining priority areas of scientific and technical development in the agro-industrial complex, development of national projects, concepts, doctrines and other program documents based on interaction with science management bodies and industry authorized bodies

increasing the scientific and human resources potential of the agro-industrial complex for scientific provision of food security of the country, labor productivity growth, expansion of export potential and competitive advantages of agricultural products

development and implementation of scientific and technical programs, projects for participation in competitions of program-targeted, grant financing and other competitions, international projects, interaction with local executive bodies

development and implementation of socially oriented programs and projects aimed at improving the standard of living of rural regions of the country, combating desertification and drought, water supply and irrigation of pastures, the use of environmental and renewable technologies and energy sources, the creation of new jobs, the use of technologies for storage, processing of raw materials, production of national and traditional food products
